PARK RANGERS IMPACTED BY HURRICANES

Hurricanes Helene and Milton have devastated central and north Florida, severely damaging many of our state parks. The impact has hit not just the parks, but the rangers, biologists, and staff who care for them. These public servants, who work tirelessly to protect Florida’s natural treasures, now need our help.

Many park staff have lost homes, vehicles, and personal belongings due to the flooding. Despite these hardships, they continue their vital work. Now, it’s our turn to support them.

You can help by donating to the James Cook Memorial Humanitarian Relief Fund, which provides financial assistance to park staff in need. Since 1993, the fund has distributed over $240,000 to more than 290 staff members statewide, with 100% of donations going directly to those affected.

Please join us in supporting those who’ve dedicated themselves to preserving our parks. Your generosity will make a real difference. Thank you for your compassion and support.
