2018 FPS REUNION and FAMILY FUN DAY

You and your family are invited to join us for a day of fun and fellowship dedicated to the men and women who continue to make the Florida Park Service the best state park system in the country. The event is a joint effort between the FPS Ranger Association and the Florida Park Service to provide a fun, relaxing and affordable weekend for park service staff and their families.  

This  event is for current and past FPS staff, families and guests. It is not open to the general public.

The “FPS Reunion & Family Fun Day” will include children’s activities, horseback rides, canoeing/kayaking, tram rides, games, swimming, interpretive programs, storytelling, fellowship, food and live music.  

Friday

3-5:00 pm   Registration

6:00 pm      Welcome and Potluck Dinner - Bring a dish to share. Plates, Forks, Cups, Tea & Lemonade will be provided

7:30 pm      Tram Tour of the Park (Meet at Dining Hall)

Saturday

8:00 – 9:30 am   Breakfast in the dining hall

9:30 – 5:00 pm  Activities (sign up at registration desk) Horseback Rides, Snake Program, Canoe/Kayaking, Tram Rides, Jr. Ranger Activities, Horseshoes, Cornhole

12-1:30 pm Lunch

6:00 pm Fish Fry with all the fixin's

7:00 pm Live Music Jam Session (bring your instruments)

Sunday

8-9 am   Light Breakfast

9:00 am Devotion

Registration: Registration fee includes meals, activities and cabin or campsite. 

  • Early registration is $12 for each Adult (paid by October 25th) $5 for Children (age 12 to 18) Children under 12 free.  
  • Registration after October 25th is $17 for each Adult $5 for Children (age 12 to 18) Children under 12 free.  

Cabin/Campsites:The group camp and a limited number of campsites have been blocked for this special occasion.   To reserve your cabin or campsite call the park at (407) 553-4373 and ask for Diane.  Or you can email her at Diane.Schwartz@dep.state.fl.us  The sleeper cabins sleep 10 (you may remember this if you attended Ranger Academy) so bring your family members or co-workers. And don’t forget to bring towels & bed linens.  If you prefer to camp a limited number of campsites are available.

Saturday Only: If overnight accommodations are not needed just join us for the day but please remember to register.
