The Governor’s Pavilion, Big Lagoon State Park
Potluck meal - please bring a dish to pass & BYOB
Utensils, plates, napkins, etc. as well as ice and bottled water will be provided.

This event is for current and past FPS staff, families, and guests. It is not open to the general public.

The primitive group camp is available Friday the 25th through Sunday night. A few regular campsites may be available to reserve. 

Activities:

  • Guided hike at Tarkiln Bayou Preserve State Park (10-minute drive from Big Lagoon) Saturday at 1 pm. The trail is ADA-accessible and known for its population of endangered white-topped pitcher plants.
  • Karaoke
  • Cornhole
  • Bring your musical instruments for some fun jamming
  • Interpretive puppet show for kids of all ages
  • Sunset walk or drive to the park's observation tower

Adjacent to the Governor's Pavilion area is the West Beach Day Use Area, offering swimming and other water-related activities along the Intracoastal Waterway.
